I haven’t been really into blogging lately. Obviously. We’re home from vacation, had a great time and are adjusting to non-vacation life

Leah is talking, running, “jumping”, and showing an interest in the potty. (There’s only been two  “deposits” , but hey, I’ll encourage it! )

Been trying to get caught up around the house, work, life, etc.  Enjoying the fall weather. There’s something to be said about snuggly clothes.

Here’s a good book to read …  Really thought provoking.  I was critical of the media before, now I’m even worse!!

This is a beautiful work of art to enjoy, really amazing.  Reminds me of Kathe Kollwitz’s work which I’ve always loved for it’s passion and immediacy.

what we’ve been up to….

BAD Aquarium- Atlantic City. Windy beach days. Fun on the boardwalk, more pizza, trip to the Clam Bar in Somer’s Point, a few more trips to the boardwalk, fun all around. Can’t believe it’s almost over

Tomorrow, shopping downtown, hopefully more beach and boardwalk time and then home…

it’s been a rough, exhausting few months… so we are quite happy to be on vacay!! ocean city, new jersey boo yeah…

day one- met the clarkes at their house, left at 4am (dunkin donuts and starbucks are NOT open this early??) , baby girl wide awake, telling us “goodbye” and “rain!!”  she eventually went to sleep around 6:30am. two stops and about ten hours later (only two delays in and out of philly- accident and construction) we were here!!  we met up with tom & joy & will (luke and joe’s internet gaming friend), had some really good pizza, went grocery shopping, and hung up late talking.

day two- run on the beach,  church with the daley’s, leah melted down in nursery, baby’s first panic attack :(, lunch and “nap”, then hit the beach for a few hours with the daley’s, jilli got to see the beach for the first time ever, leah got to play at the beach for the first time ever, burgers and fries with the daley’s, movie time, and crash!!

day three- run with luke, browns donuts honey dipped goodness. wow.  hitting the acquarium later today, since it’s “cold” and cloudy.

you are so sweet

Two years today we said goodbye.

So much has happened since then, good and bad. I still carry you and your sibling in my heart as I enjoy Leah and life and joy today. God has made beauty out of our ashes. I can’t wait to meet you someday, and I really didn’t think about that until the last month or so.  But, you were, you are,  and God knew you before the beginning of time.  I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to, however that works.

Sorry, that’s how they used to say it over the loudspeakers, every fifteen minutes, when we lived right next door. Medinacountyfairtime is ten fifteen. Medinacountyfairtime is ten thirty. You get the point.

Anyways, the fair is more fun with little kids and we went last night with the Vollers, Clarkes and Clotworthy’s- much fun was had by all.

this past weekend we went down to Lake Buckhorn with the Lindens and Longs, for a total of four little girls four and under (the Long’s boy on the way and Linden’s ?? on the way don’t factor in yet- maybe we’ll even out the girl hormones someday!)  a good time was had by all, the kids and adults all had fun, relaxed, and partied in their own ways- picnics, staying up late, pontoon & ski boats, swimming at the beach, in the lake, playing in the sand and rocks.   here are some fun pictures….
